Hey Blog People. How are ya?

Who is the "princess" in YOUR office? Every office has one. the person who always talks about themselves. The one who starts every sentence with "I need" or "I want."
The co worker who blames other people for their mistakes. You know who I am talking about. 48% of American workers say they have a princess in their office.
Maria and I decided to make Johnny the princess... because it is funny to imagine him wearing a tiara!

Christmas in July?

Good Morning campers. Welcome to Monday.

Johnny B is back from vacation. He was off visiting his family on the east coast. He has decided that his father gets more and more annoying every year.

This morning we read a fact about Christmas shopping. Apparently 33 percent of people have already bought at least one gift for the holiday. Johnny did not believe this. He just couldn't understand why you would shop so early. We proved it to him by asking you to call in... many people have already bought gifts. I have not however bought one for B yet!

Also this morning we talked about the games we would play in the car as a kid. This was before DVD players ya know. I Spy. Red Car Blue Car. 20 questions. My Mom always had us play "who can be quiet the longest?" I never won that.

Thanks again to Scott K for filling in last week. I am sure that he enjoyed sleeping in this morning!

Got Fish. Need Names.

Good Morning.

Today I told you about the great emails I get from my 8 year old neice. They are usually only a couple words long. One was: got fish need names
another: got new mp3 player write me back
and recently she told me her favorite singer was arvil lavinn (Avril Lavigne) I can't wait to read what she has to say next week.

Scott and Maria and I showed just how old we are today by talking about our school days. I loved to shop for school supplies. I remember getting a Trapper Keeper! Do you remember those? And at my elementary school we only had one computer for all the grades. We played games like Oregon Trail and Lemonade Stand. Scott and Maria think I am making that up.

Too Much Fun for Work

Good Morning gang. Happy Wednesday.

Scott K and I had another fun filled morning. When Scott goes back to doing afternoons (when johnny returns Monday) you have to listen to his show. I think he is so freakin' funny. We have been having a great time doing the morning show this week.

Ask him about the My Little Pony party he is having for his daughter this weekend.
It is amazing what a 2 year old will do to a grown man.

We talked a bit about Lindsay Lohan of course. It is hard not to. She is such a mess.
Did you catch Rob Schneider dressed as Lindsay on Jay Leno last night. Classic.

It was a CORNY show

B on vacation this week. Scott K is filling in and each day I spend with Scott I realize just how silly he is. I think it may be the ginormous amounts of coffee that he has before 6:00am.

Today the minimum wage goes up. We were talking about our first jobs and how much we made. ($3.35 an hour) Scott was a busboy, Maria worked at a record store and I detassled corn. yes, it is a real job. A few people actually called in and knew what it was. As a teen in Nebraska this was a great job to do during the summer. You could start working when you were only 14 years old.

You basically walk up and down corn fields pulling the tassle off the top of the corn stalk. It seems like only people from the Midwest have ever done this.

We also discussed my obsession with the Dukes of Hazzard. I was falling asleep last night and an old episode was on. It is when the producers hired two new actors to replace Bo and Luke. Well, I couldn't remember their names and it was driving me crazy. So much so, that I couldn't sleep until I knew the answer. So, I got out of bed and looked it up on the internet. Do you know their names? COY AND VANCE.

Some people actually have real jobs. I just get to talk about the Duke Boys.

Carrie's Celebrity Dreams

Happy Monday. I hope you all had a great weekend. Johnny B is on vacation this week. Scott K is filling in.

This morning I shared the crazy dream that I had last night. Since I moved to McKinney I have had a couple dreams with celebrities in them. One was with Johnny B and Paula Abdul. And another was with Tori Spelling. (I am not proud of these facts)

The latest featured Benjamin Bratt and his character from Law and Order. In the dream, Benjamin was shot and I had to pretend to be a police officer in order to sneak into his room for a visit. Once in the room with him I noticed all these cameras filming. I realized that it wasn't real, they were actually filming an episode of Law and Order. WHEW! Thank goodness Benjamin wasn't dying.
We tried to use the Dream Dictionary to find out what all of this means. Scott thinks I just need to stop watching so much t.v.

Maybe later this week I will dream about Scott K.

Uh, I mean KING.

Hey there campers.

Today we let Scott K. have a shot at the Pop Culture crown. He took it away from Maria during our speed round of trivia. Next week we will let listeners steal the crown from Scott.

B is on vacation all next week. Scott should be used to getting up early JUST about the time Johnny returns.

If you are a parent... does your kid have NAKED BABY SYNDROME? Scott's 2 year old daughter is going through a new phase. She loves to take her clothes off...especially in public. Maybe she is hoping to be a Paris or a Britney one day.

Vacation All I Ever Wanted

Good Morning Y'all! So, B is on vacation thru July 30th. Scott K is filling in. Scott normally does the afternoon show... so, he was draggin' this early morning. I have never seen anybody drink so many cups of coffee!

I bet if you asked Scott what we talked about this morning he wouldn't be able to tell you.

We did share some vacation stories. Maria and her husband spent an exciting vacation in Hawaii at the beach. But, we found out this morning that Maria CANNOT SWIM! Then after that shocker, you found out that CARRIE CANNOT SWIM! I don't know why we never learned.

Scott and his wife had a terrible vacation/honeymoon in the woods of Oklahoma. They shared time with a bad bottle bottle of champagne and super cockroaches.

Queen of Pop Culture

Well, we wrapped up the world series of pop culture today and I LOST! Maria Miller is now our Queen of Pop Culture. She beat me 41-30. Again today I think B's questions were too hard. (that's just my opinion) Did you play along at home? How did you do? We will have to let a listener take on Maria next time. See if she can retain her crown. B is going on vacation tomorrow. So, Scott K will be hosting the show with me. Poor Scott normally works in the afternoon. I hope he can handle waking up at 3:30 to go to work. I better make alot of coffee for him. B is heading back to the east coast to visit his parents which means when he gets back on July 30th we should have plenty to talk about. (Hi, Mr and Mrs B)

On a side note, I am still in training for my first 5K race in Mckinney. It is on Labor Day. I have gone to the gym twice this week and I am heading there again today. Three times in one week is a record for me.

Also, have you seen the Simpson's Video Clip of Homer singing "spider pig?" It is hilarious and I cannot get it out of my head! Google it today. I want you to join in the fun.

WHAT?!

Hey there campers. Today was round 2 of the pop culture challenge for Maria and me.

I really thought I would "rule the school" today with the TV category. But, Johnny B came up with the hardest questions for us and Maria is now leading 28-18. He had an audio clip from THE ROPERS! Where did he find that I want to know. It was only on tv for one season. Do you know what Horshack's dad did for a living on Welcome Back Kotter? Yeah, me neither.

Tomorrow promises to be another crazy day. We wrap up the game with the HODGE PODGE category. These can be about anything that B wants. Be afraid. Be very afraid.

We will also have another Pet of the Week at 7:10. And get a visit from Asst. Fire Chief Frank Roma at 8:10.

OH THE SHAME

Wow. I am so ashamed of my performance today during our Pop Culture Challenge between Maria and myself. The category was MUSIC. I am a DJ! I got tripped up on all questions about songs that came out before 1981. I should have known B would use some 70's stuff.

Maria is ahead 15-9 going into round 2 tomorrow. Tomorrow's category is TV... since I worship TV, I hope to do so much better. I better do some research tonight.

Cow Appreciation Day

Hey everyone. Happy Cow Appreciation Day. Yep. It is a real holiday. Johnny B and I celebrated by enjoying Chick-Fil-A chicken biscuits this morning! If you go to their restaurant and wear a cow costume you can get a free combo meal. B is pasting black spots onto his shirt right now as I type this.

Did you know that if you want job security forever and ever you should be a Doctor, Teacher or Farmer? DJ was not on that list.

Chunk it in the Crum Bucket

Hey there. It's Carrie. Happy Hump Day to ya.

Today we talked about the new words that are being added to the Merriam Webster Dictionary. "ginormous" "crunk" "speed dating" I want to add "ridonkulous" and B wants to add "clankus"

We also asked you what words you use that aren't necessarily correct or even real words at all. One of our listeners says "chunk it in the trash" instead of "CHUCK" it. And another one uses the term "crum bucket" instead of a certain dirty word.

I am sure that we did some other stuff between 5:30 and 9:00 this morning, but, I am sleepy and can't remember it all! Have a great day. See ya bright and early tomorrow.

Run Carrie Run

Hello campers. Welcome to Monday.

I start training today for my first 5K race in Texas. I am not a runner at all. I actually hate to run. But, I need to get in shape and doing a race is a good incentive to get into the gym. I will be doing the Labor of Love 5K in Stonebridge Ranch on Labor Day. I have 8 weeks to go from couch potato to athlete. If you want to do the race too send me an email and I will get you the info. Get Lost!

Hello friends. I know the title seems a little mean doesn't it? This morning we celebrated the re-issue of the first season of Lost on DVD. We talked about places you've been lost. B got lost in War, West Virginia. I got lost in a Dillards. (no, not on purpose)

Our friends from the Frisco Thunder stopped by. Tomorrow is Military Night at the Dr. Pepper Stars Center for the big game. Bring your military ID or wear your uniform to get half price tickets. B will be at the game... look for him to catch a ball somewhere in the stands.

I am making my first trip to Oklahoma tomorrow for a live broadcast from US Cellular on Main Street in Durant. Please stop by from 2-4pm and say hello.

Stress Relief

Hi Campers. How are ya?! Did you all have a nice Fourth of July? Poor B only had about 3 hours of sleep before our show this morning. I am not sure how he was functioning. Maybe it was all the coffee. I have never seen anyone CHUG a hot drink like that. He was up late hosting the fireworks event in Plano last night.

If you are stressed out we read about a great way to relieve that stress today. A Spanish hotel that was about to be renovated let people grab a hammer and demolish a room! We decided that is the way to do it. Forget Yoga, or meditation. Just SMASH SOMETHING TO PIECES.

Tomorrow is Friday already. We love having a day off in the middle of the week.

GET IN LINE

Hey there and Happy Monday y'all.

First of all, thanks to everyone who came out and rocked with The Orchestra on Saturday night. Our first show of the summer concert series was awesome. The rain stopped long enough for us to enjoy an amazing performance.

This morning we talked about waiting in line for the latest high tech gadget or concert ticket or latest movie. Many people stood in line on Friday to get the new Apple iphone. Johnny actually camped out for Garth Brooks tickets once. I stood in line with friends to see The Phantom Menace on opening day in 1999. These days, if it doesn't involve FREE FOOD, I am not standing around for anything.

We are looking forward to July 4th and our fireworks event in Plano Wednesday night. We will be at Oak Point Park (2801 Spring Creek Pkwy) Hope to see you there.
