I am a slacker
Hello. My name is Carrie and I am a slacker. ("Hi Carrie")
I haven't been keeping up with the blog lately. Sorry.
I will try to do better. We have been really busy around the station. We are gearing up for our Annual Bob Skaggs Memorial Food Drive. We are accepting donations again this year the week of Thanksgiving. Look for us at Wal-Mart on Red Bud Blvd in McKinney November 19th-21st.
Also, we are getting ready to give away a new 2008 Honda Civic from Lute Riley Honda. Have you checked your mail? Look for the entry form and get it back to us asap. Or go to the website... www.975klak.com
We also have a Holiday Surprise for you next week. Keep listening.
Plus, just my daily job of keeping Johnny out of trouble. That takes up alot of time.
Today we talked about funny excuses to get out of work. Here are a couple actual excuses that employees used.
- Employee said he was crabby and it wouldn’t be good for business
- Employee got whiplash from brushing her hair
- Employee said he wasn’t feeling well and wanted to rest up for the company’s holiday party that night
- Employee claimed to have met a movie star and was spending the day with him
- Employee was injured while getting a haircut
- Employee had been up all night because their favorite “American Idol” contestant was voted off
Did you hear about my personal triumph yesterday? I finally paid off a credit card! I called the company and cancelled it, then I cut the card. It was a great feeling. They seemed almost hurt that I wanted to cancel my account. Well, we have known each other for a VERY LONG TIME!
Has this ever happened to you? Your cell phone goes off at a bad time? Maria's rang while we were on the air this morning. She will never live this down. And Johnny's YOU'VE GOT MAIL went off while I was doing the news earlier.
Nobody ever calls me, so, mine was quiet.
Thanks to Todd with Baskin Robbins of Collin County for bringing us some ice cream today. They have new flavors for the holidays. He also brought two ice cream cakes, one was decorated with the KLAK logo. It is never too early for ice cream is our motto.
Have a great day. Talk to ya tomorrow.
Carrie
